Project Summary:
When Carver County decided to create a county-wide initiative to encourage tourism, they partnered with me to create their brand, build their marketing strategy and develop their digital footprint including a brand-new website and social media presence.

Visit Carver County: color scheme and hashtag
We worked together to identify their core audience characteristics and the best way to engage users. I designed a new logo and created brand standards for the project, created a hashtag and established new Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts to connect through social media, and began the process of building their web presence. Throughout the process, I conducted meetings and worked with the Carver County Community Development Board for guidance and approval at all stages of development.
For the website, I designed a layout that highlights the natural elements of the landscape in the area, offers options for exploration, and features blog content to compel visitors to plan a visit. I enlisted local writers to contribute articles regularly, so we can build the blog content quickly and keep the site fresh and relevant.
The website was launched in July of 2021. With the support of city administrations, chambers, and a wide range of businesses, the project is moving forward to promote events, build content, and engage with the communities that make up Carver County. We are committed to building resources for visitors and providing support for the residents, businesses, and organizations that call this place home.
